Mandi, an ancient Fort City, is a must-visit tourist destination. It is located about 90 KM away from Indore City, and you can easily reach Mandav by taking a Day Taxi. Don’t forget to try the famous “Mandu ki Imli” while you’re here. If possible, plan your visit on weekdays to avoid the large crowds. We made the mistake of going on a Sunday and couldn’t fully enjoy our time due to the crowd. It’s best to arrive early in the morning to cover all the major attractions. Remember to carry water, a hat, a power bank, and a good camera. Also, keep in mind that you’ll need to buy tickets at two places – Rani Rupmati Mahal and Jahaj Mahal. Mandav is a charming town situated in the Vindhyanchal Range, at an elevation of 2,000 feet above sea level. It is detached from the Malwa Plateau by a deep ravine. The nearest airport is in Indore, which is about 100 km away. The palaces of Sultan Bazbahadur and Roopmati are stunning examples of Islamic architecture, with their grand courtyards.
