On the other side of the hill, you’ll also get a stunning view of the alluvial plains of the Betwa River. If you’re planning a trip to Bhopal, you absolutely have to visit this place. It won’t take more than 2 hours to explore everything. I’ve been there three times in the past two years and here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Avoid going during the scorching heat as it can get really hot.

2. Make sure to carry a water bottle if you’re visiting during the day.

3. Depending on your interest in rock paintings, you’ll need around 45-75 minutes to fully enjoy the place.

4. The car entry fee is INR 150 and you can’t avoid it unless you’re willing to walk an extra 2km to the shelters.

5. Unfortunately, there aren’t any good food stalls nearby, so it’s best to bring your own picnic food.

6. Keep an extra 30 minutes in case you encounter a closed railway crossing gate along the way.

Visiting these places sparks creativity and allows you to imagine what life was like for our ancestors. It’s a treasure that must be protected for future generations. Schools and colleges can bring their students here to teach them about our history. There are information board placed near all the caves and shelters… you can engage a guide if you want.
