You Can see paw prints, claw marks, droppings, and even smelled and heard the wildlife. It was an incredible experience. Some jeeps may have been broken down, with footsteps and broken parts, and some guides were a bit too opinionated. Luckily, You Can always have a jeep to yourselves, so You Can ask questions and get detailed answers. It truly is a remarkable place that words can’t fully capture.

Good thing about places

Tiger Neelnala and Tigress Neelam were spotted with 3 cubs during separate visits a year apart. It’s common to see animals like Jackal, Indian Gaur, Spotted Deer, Barahsingha, Hanuman Langurs, and Sloth Bears occasionally. Birdwatching is great here, especially if you’re a bird enthusiast. Don’t forget to try the Bhajji from Kanha Center cafe, located in between the park. The landscapes, lush meadows, wooded areas, and dense forests provide amazing sightseeing opportunities for nature lovers.

The wildlife in the area is enhanced by the crystal-clear streams that flow through the jungle. Kanha offers four safari zones, namely Kanha, Kisli, Mukki, and Sarhi. All four zones can only be accessed through the Khatia gate, with Mukki being the farthest. To fully explore both Mukki and Kanha zones, it is advisable to take the morning safari, as it allows for more time to explore. If you’re looking for accommodation close to the Khatia gate, MP Tourism Baghira resort in Mocha is the best option. Kanha National Park is well-known and doesn’t need much introduction. I can only share my personal experiences, and I must say that it is much better organized and maintained than what I expected.

The meadows in Kanha are meticulously maintained, attracting a variety of birds and animals who peacefully coexist. We encountered almost every kind of animal during our journey, except for a bear. I’ve lost track of the number of bird species we spotted—it’s like a paradise for birdwatchers.

Restrooms in the jungle are meticulously maintained, providing a clean and comfortable space for visitors. In the region, designated areas are allocated for dining and restroom use. Growing up in and around the jungle due to my father’s profession as a forest officer, I have witnessed significant changes over the years. The forest department has made great strides in utilizing science, research, and studies to promote coexistence between humans and nature, as exemplified by Kanha National Park.
